Financial Pathway
Stack the La Sierra University Grant, SDA-specific awards, half-off housing for Adventist students, and federal/state aid. Four years of college athletics at a Sabbath-honoring program becomes a number, not a question mark.
01 / Institutional Grant
Incoming first-time freshmen
Not available to off-campus programs (Criminal Justice, Digital Learning) or reduced-tuition programs (EADP, ESL/ELC). National Merit recipients receive the higher of LSU Grant or National Merit Award, not both.

03 / The Silent Benefit
Seventh-day Adventist students receive half-off on housing and meals. That works out to roughly $5,200 in annual savings versus standard rates. Most schools never put a number on this. We will.
~$5,200
per year, on-campus
04 / Family Discount
When two or more members of the same immediate family are enrolled full-time in paying, non-discounted programs, each receives a $300 discount per quarter. Coordinated with each student’s financial aid package and prorated for less-than-full-time enrollment.
05 / Federal & State Aid
06 / Worked Example
Example: a 3.6 GPA Adventist senior from an Adventist academy could combine the $13,000 LSU Grant + $2,250 SDA Membership Award + ~$5,200 in half-off housing/meals = roughly $20,450/year before federal Pell or Cal Grant.
