01 / The Program
Our developmental and varsity teams work together to give student-athletes a place to mature into the best versions of themselves.
La Sierra University Developmental Athletics runs its programs to mature our student-athletes just as we do at the varsity level. This site is for high-school athletes who want to earn four more years of competitive college play at an Adventist program.
The expectations are the same as varsity: be at practice, be in class, be a good teammate, and be a strong representative of the program. This is for the athlete who wants to continue playing organized college basketball.

02 / Adventist Identity
During the Sabbath, we put athletics to the side and focus on what is most important. On campus, vespers, chapel, and community are available to all.
Our schedule is built around that commitment. No games, practice, film, or athletic activity during the Sabbath. There will never be athletic obligations between Friday sundown and Saturday sundown. Athletes have time and space to worship, rest, and be with family, then return ready to compete.
Our athletes represent the program as much in the classroom and the community as in the gym.

03 / The Conference
The GSAC is one of the most competitive conferences in NAIA athletics. Our varsity team competes in the GSAC, and our developmental teams will compete against programs that also operate developmental teams.

04 / The University
La Sierra has been in Riverside, California since 1922. It’s a Seventh-day Adventist institution that has been ranked among the top regional universities in the West for over a decade. Athletes here are full members of an academic community. They graduate, they go to medical and dental school, they enter ministry, business, and education.
We’re located in Riverside, just east of Los Angeles. Close enough to family for many of our recruits to come home on weekends; far enough to feel like a real college experience.

05 / What This Site Is
A place where a high-school athlete and their family can submit a profile, see what the financial pathway actually looks like, and walk through the application + FAFSA process step by step. Our coaching staff reviews every submission personally.
